Review: Boots Botanics Ionic Clay Mask #powerofplants

I received a travel size of the Boots Botanics ionic clay mask in my Influenster J'Adore VoxBox. You can read about it here. The first picture shows you the product and the a general idea of the size.

This product is runny, but applies very easy. It's similar to a sheer coverage bb cream consistency. It is an olive green color. It does not smell bad or have an overpowering scent.

Before applying I made sure my face was clean then applied the mask liberally all over my face being sure to avoid my eyes and mouth.

It dried super fast which is a plus. As it dried the color changed to a lighter shade and my face felt stiff. I left it on for 10 minutes as stated in the directions. Here is a close up of the mask as it was drying.

After I washed the mask off, I noticed that my face was extremely red and then it started to burn slightly. My face also felt very tight and dry. This was my first experience using a face mask so I wasn't sure what to expect or if this was a normal experience. I have sensitive, dry skin so this product may not be best suited for my skin type. The pictures below attempt to show the redness that occurred. My face is naturally red in the cheeks but not on my forehead or next to my eyes.

I am not sure that I will continue using this product.

received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes
